Is this real money?
No. There's no bank, no card and no processor anywhere in Campfire. It's a tally your family keeps, like a chart on the fridge. Any real cash comes from you, in person.
How does asking for cash work?
Kids on dollars can ask for cash. Campfire sets that amount aside and lets you know. You hand over the cash and tap to say you did. Campfire never moves money.
How does saving grow?
Saving is for kids on dollars. You pick a weekly growth rate — it starts at 2% a week, generous on purpose so they see it grow. Opening a lock early costs a penalty you set (10% to start) and gives up the growth. Cancel within 24 hours and it costs nothing. A kid can have several locks at once.
Can my kids see each other's jobs?
No. Each child sees only their own jobs, rewards and numbers. Two kids can earn different amounts for the same chore and neither will know.
What if I set a value wrong?
Just change it. Finished jobs keep what they were worth; only future ones use the new value. You can also add or take away by hand, with a note your child can see. Every change stays on the record — mistakes are fixed in the open, never erased.
What if they did the chore but couldn't log it?
You can check it off for them from your phone — handy for jobs done after bedtime or away from a screen.
